Overwatch

Postby Mr V » Sun Mar 27, 2016 2:10 pm

Overwatch is an upcoming multiplayer first-person shooter in development by Blizzard Entertainment. Unveiled at BlizzCon 2014, the game emphasizes cooperative gameplay using a cast of various "heroes", each with their own abilities and roles within a team. The game entered closed beta in North America and Europe on October 27, 2015, with plans to bring the beta to Asia at a later date. The game is scheduled to be released on May 24, 2016 on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.[1] Unlike previous Blizzard releases, there are no plans for a version of Overwatch for OS X.[2]

Very similar game type to Team Fortress but just with Blizzards twist on it.
Hopefully this proves to be a winning formula, looking forward to an fun FPS game with different aspects built into it.
The characters sure do look interesting...

I loved TF2, bought it originally back in the day when it first came out, was such a fun game with all the different kinds of playing styles you could adopt. Being the Spy was the most fun for me, Invisible watch + enemy disguise + butterfly knife in the back = win.
Team Fortress 2 is free to play now and from what I remember they improved the game a lot to make it a competitive multiplayer game.
We can defiantly play this during our first LAN event.

Anybody playing this yet?

Bought it when it launched and I must say that its been quite fun.
A nice casual shooter with lots of different character variations and play styles.

Check this out: The Story of Overwatch.
Pretty interesting what the developers at Blizzard went through to make this game.
