Monash IT Society was created to serve as a place where all past and present Monash students from around the world can read and talk about all things related to Information Technology, Life, Science and other interesting things.
The main aim is to promote healthy discussion of the latest news and trends within the IT sector and to provide a place to share knowledge and promote learning through its online forums.
It also provides a network platform for Monash Students and Alumni from different Monash campuses to interact with each other and with outside sponsors.
MITS also provides a place to facilitate future events which will serve to promote the learning of new skills and knowledge within the field of IT at Monash.
MITS was originally founded by Steve Velcev with the help of Jason How Kow, Max Cobbett, Ian Pillay and Grant Visser.
